Sous vide is a French term that literally means "under vacuum." When something is vacuum-sealed, there's no air left inside. Want to cook sous vide? Then your job is to remove as much air as possible from the vacuum bag.

What works better: ziplock or vacuum seal?
In principle, both work well. However, a vacuum sealer can remove more air than our trick method. Some other advantages of a vacuum sealer:
- Products stay fresh longer
- You can marinate your products in just a few minutes
- Your products will last longer if you freeze them
So it is useful to buy a vacuum machine , but for sous vide cooking, resealable sous vide bags are generally sufficient .

Nee, de Souvy sous vide zakken geven geen ongezonde reactie. De reden hiervoor is dat het plastic wat gebruikt wordt een FDA goedgekeurd materiaal is. Pas wel op, niet alle sous vide zakken (van andere aanbieders bijvoorbeeld) zijn van dergelijk kwalitatief en vooral veilig materiaal gemaakt.
