Homemade guacamole and salsa

A party isn't complete without these two iconic dips. Creamy and rich, guacamole paired with a spicy, fresh salsa. Together, they make the perfect duo for nachos, tacos, or simply as a snack with tortilla chips.

Ingredients

For the guacamole:
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salty
  • Handful of coriander, finely chopped

For the salsa
  • 3 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green chili pepper, finely chopped
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salty
  • Handful of coriander, finely chopped

Preparation

To make the guacamole: Halve the avocados and remove the pits. Scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash the avocado coarsely with a fork. Add the onion, tomato, lime juice, salt, and cilantro. Mix well.

To make the salsa: Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
