Homemade guacamole and salsa

No party is complete without these two iconic dips. Guacamole, creamy and rich, combined with a spicy, fresh salsa. Together they make the perfect duo for nachos, tacos, or just as a snack with tortilla chips.

Ingredients:

For the guacamole:
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salty
  • Handful of coriander, finely chopped
For the salsa:
  • 3 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green chili pepper, finely chopped
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salty
  • Handful of coriander, finely chopped

Preparation:

  1. Directions for the guacamole: Halve the avocados and remove the pit. Scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash the avocado coarsely with a fork. Add the onion, tomato, lime juice, salt and coriander. Mix well.
  2. Directions for the salsa: Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Let it sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes so that the flavors blend well.
