Ingredients
- 500 g carrots
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp honey
- sea salt
- fresh parsley
Preparation
The preparation
Turn on your sous vide machine and set it to 85 degrees Celsius. Wash or peel the carrots and cut any large ones in half.
To divide
Divide the carrots into 2/3 portions and place them in separate sous vide bags . Add the butter, honey, and sea salt to each bag. Then cook the carrots for 1 hour at 85°C (185°F).
Post-processing
Remove the carrots from the bags and cook them on a hot grill pan or barbecue for about 3-5 minutes. It's important that the pan is piping hot so the carrots develop a nice grilled edge. Remove the carrots from the pan and garnish with freshly ground black pepper and parsley. You can use these carrots in various recipes, of course, but they're also great as a snack!
