Insalata Caprese: a summer treat

  • 3 large ripe tomatoes
  • 200 grams buffalo mozzarella
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Olive oil, extra virgin
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Balsamic vinegar (optional)


  1. Step 1 -

    Cut the tomatoes and mozzarella into slices and place them alternately on a platter, overlapping.

  2. Step 2 -

    Divide the basil leaves over it and drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

  3. Step 3 -

    If desired, drizzle some balsamic vinegar on top for an extra dimension of flavor.
