Ingredients

  • 800 ml water
  • 400 grams (unsweetened) grated coconut

Preparation

Heat

Heat water in a saucepan on the stove, do not let it boil.

Blending

Place the coconut in a blender and add the hot water. Blend on high for a few minutes until you have a thick consistency.

Drain

Strain the milk through a colander to remove the coconut milk, and place a tea towel over a bowl. Pour the milk through this and then squeeze out all the coconut milk.

Save

The coconut milk is now ready to use. You can store fresh coconut milk in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.
