Coconut milk

  • 800 ml of water
  • 400 grams (unsweetened) grated coconut


  1. Heating -

    Heat water in a pan on the stove, do not let it boil.

  2. Blending -

    Place the coconut in the blender and add the hot water. Mix it on a high setting for a few minutes until you have a thick mass.

  3. Drain -

    Pour the milk through a colander to filter out the coconut and place a tea towel over a bowl. You pour the milk through this and then squeeze out all the coconut milk.

  4. Save -

    The coconut milk is now ready to be used. You can store the fresh coconut milk in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.
