Sous vide sweet potatoes are so easy to make and super healthy too. Many athletes use sweet potatoes for meal prep. By cooking sweet potatoes sous vide, you retain all the flavor and texture.

Ingredients

  • 1 sweet potato
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder
  • 1 tbsp dried thyme
  • dash of olive oil
  • salt (optional)
  • pepper (optional)

Preparation

Remove the peel

Remove the skin from the sweet potato and cut it into 3-5 centimeter cubes.

Spices

Season the sweet potato with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, and dried thyme. Heat the water in a pan to 90 degrees Celsius (194 degrees Fahrenheit) and cook for 45 minutes.

Serve

Remove the sweet potato from the bag and season with salt and pepper to taste. You can store the sweet potatoes in a sealed vacuum bag for about 3 days or freeze them for months.
