Preparation
Smoking the salmon
Grab the smoking gun, smoke dome, and some wood chips of your choice. Don't have any smoking equipment yet? You can also buy the complete package at a great price. Place the smoked salmon under the smoke dome. Fill the smoking gun with wood chips and connect the hose to the smoke dome. Turn the device on and then light the wood chips. Finally, fill the dome completely with smoke and turn the device off.
Salmon snacks
Let the smoke steep for about 5-10 minutes, depending on how strong you want the salmon to be. Then remove the smoker dome and slice the salmon into thin strips. Since the salmon is now very strong, we recommend using it in appetizers, for example. In this example, we're serving the salmon on a small pancake with herb butter. Of course, you can also enjoy the salmon on bread, quiche, tartare, pasta, or with a poached egg.

Hallo,
Ik zou graag een verse zalm koud roken. Hoe kan ik dit het beste doen?
Eerst roken en daarna garen in bijvoorbeeld de oven? En enig idee hoe lang de zalm gerookt moet worden en met hoeveel houtmot?
Misschien is het een goed idee om ook hiervan een recept op de website te plaatsen?

Hi Mirjam,
Je kunt de zalm eerst koud-roken en daarna bijvoorbeeld in de oven garen. Eén keer het rookpistool vullen en daarna laten staan tot alle rook niet meer zichtbaar is is voldoende!
