Ingredients
- 50 g sea salt
- 1 g wood chips
Preparation
The preparation
Place the salt in a small container and place this container in the sous vide container . Seal the container with foil.
Smoking
Add the wood chips to the smoking gun and turn it on. Make sure the container is completely filled with smoke and try to minimize the amount of smoke escaping. You don't need to keep refilling the smoke; 20 seconds of smoking should be enough.
To wait
Let the salt smoke in the container for about 5 minutes and taste the salt. Once you've achieved the desired flavor, you can remove the salt from the container. Want a more intense flavor? Let the salt smoke longer and use more wood chips .
You can use this salt for literally anything. From meat, fish, and poultry, it's also delicious sprinkled on warm bread straight from the oven. Let us know how you like it using #cookingwithsouvy!
