Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Coarse salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: toppings such as butter, sour cream, grated cheese, chives, or other favorite herbs.
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the grill to medium heat. Use the lava rocks on your barbecue if desired.
Step 2
Wash and scrub the potatoes. Dry them thoroughly afterwards.
Step 3
Prick each potato a few times with a fork. This prevents them from bursting during grilling.
Step 4
Rub each potato with olive oil and then sprinkle generously with coarse salt and pepper.
Step 5
Place the potatoes directly on the grill rack and close the lid. Grill for about 45-60 minutes, turning every 15 minutes, until tender inside and crispy skin.
Step 6
Cut the potatoes open and serve with your favorite toppings. Enjoy your delicious baked potatoes from the grill!
