Dried Mushrooms! This richly flavoured snack is perfect for adding depth to soups, sauces and stews. Our recipe will guide you through the process of drying mushrooms using an oven or food dehydrator, giving you an intensely flavourful and long-lasting addition to your kitchen.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kilo mushrooms

Preparation:

  1. Preparation: Start by cleaning the mushrooms. Preferably do not use water. Then cut the mushrooms into thin slices of approx. 5 mm. Place these on the rack of the dehydrator and wait until the oven is preheated.
  2. Drying: Once the oven is preheated, place the rack with the mushroom slices on it in the oven. It will take 3 to 8 hours for the mushrooms to dry completely. Once the mushroom slices are dried, let them cool and store them in a sealed jar.
