Preparation

Preparation

Cut off the crown and bottom of the pineapple. If you have a pineapple corer, you can easily clean the pineapple. If you don't, slice off the skin with a knife. Remove the center of the pineapple. Cut whole or half slices of pineapple. Make sure the thickness of each slice is even. This way, they'll all dry at the same time. Then place the pineapple slices on the rack.

Drying

Preheat the dehydrator to 57°C (135°F). Once the oven is preheated, place the rack in the oven for 8 to 10 hours. The dehydrator time depends on the thickness of the slices. After 8-10 hours, remove the rack from the dehydrator and wait for the dried pineapple to cool. Once cooled, store the dried pineapple in a glass jar.
