Ingredients:
- 150 ml sunflower oil
- 175 grams self-raising flour
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 150 grams of caster sugar
- 2 tablespoon light sugar syrup
- 2 large eggs (beaten)
- 150 ml semi-skimmed milk
- Sunflower oil (for greasing)
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven: Start by preheating the oven to 180 degrees. Then grease two baking tins with sunflower oil and a little flour.
- Blending: Mix the self-raising flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, caster sugar together and then add the sugar syrup, eggs, sunflower oil and milk to the mixture. Mix again until you have a smooth batter.
- Baking: Pour the batter into the baking tins and bake for 25-30 minutes in the oven. After 30 minutes the cakes can be removed from the oven. Let it cool for at least 10 minutes.
- Serving: Make the icing by mixing all the ingredients until you have a light icing. Cover 1 cake with some icing and place the second cake on top. Spread the remaining icing over the top and sides of the cake.
