Classic marinated shrimp. This marinade pairs perfectly with sous vide cooking. For this recipe, use tiger prawns, also known as king prawns. This delicacy is incredibly versatile. You can cook the prawns sous vide and then combine them with pasta, rice, or paella, for example.

Ingredients

  • 12 (un)peeled prawns
  • 20 g parsley
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 20 g oregano
  • Pepper
  • Salty
  • 30 ml olive oil

Preparation

Get everything ready

Take a pan or sous vide container and fill it with warm water. Set the sous vide appliance to 57°C.

Making a marinade

Combine all the ingredients except the shrimp. Finely chop the herbs and garlic and mix them with the remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Save some parsley for garnish.

Marinating

Place the marinade in the sous vide bag. Peel the prawns and place them in the marinade. Then refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Yarn

Set the timer on the sous vide appliance to 30 minutes and place the bag with the marinated prawns in the water bath.

Finishing

Serve the shrimp immediately or chill them in ice water for later use. Serve the shrimp with a couscous salad and cucumber, for example.
