How exactly does it work?
Hard water contains calcium and magnesium ions. These cause limescale buildup – especially when using steam, hot water, or fine spray nozzles. The water softener purifies that water. Literally. As the water flows through the resin column, these "hard" minerals are exchanged for "soft" ions. Is the resin saturated? Then the granules regenerate with a salt solution (note: always use non-chlorinated salt). Easy to maintain and efficient.
Suitable for any catering kitchen
Whether you run a bar, a lunchroom, or a fine dining restaurant, this compact water softener fits almost anywhere. Its slim design (ø185mm) allows you to easily slide it behind a bar counter or next to your dishwasher.
Use it for:
- Combi steamers (for limescale-free steam)
- Coffee makers (for full flavour, no blockages)
- Dishwashers (for sparkling dishes)
- Ice cube machines (for clear ice)
This not only keeps your equipment working longer, but also saves you on maintenance and energy costs.
Choose the variant that suits your kitchen
Whether you run an espresso bar or a busy restaurant, there's a water softener to suit your needs. The 8-liter version (231210) is perfect for light-duty applications like a single coffee machine or dishwasher. The 12-liter version (231227) is ideal for those who need a little more capacity. Do you work with multiple appliances simultaneously? Then choose the 16-liter version (231234). All models are compact, powerful, and built for years of trouble-free use.
Technology you understand
- Capacity: 1000 L/hour
- Working pressure: 1–8 bar, ideal for catering connections
- Ambient temperature: 4–35°C
- Inlet temperature: max. 25°C
Connection: 3/8”
Tip: only use the water softener with cold water (<45°C) and do not connect the appliance to the machine during regeneration.
Working smart = thinking ahead
Water softeners aren't a luxury. They're essential for a smooth kitchen workflow. Less limescale means:
- Less downtime for maintenance
- Better taste of coffee and tea
- Lower energy bills (no limescale = more efficient heating)
- Sustainable investment in your equipment
Besides, if you work with high standards, you don't want to risk bitter coffee or streaky glasses. And neither do you.
Save, install and use
Store the water softener in a dry place and keep the temperature below 35°C. Connect it directly to the water supply before your appliance. Keep the connected appliance switched off during regeneration to prevent pressure loss or damage.
